I speak not of the evil that is still within us, that is, in our flesh. But, I speak of a growing and very public evil that resides in our institutions. Others around the world are born and will die in corrupted institutions.
But, we in America have not been so consistently exposed to pernicious, calculated and public evil as we are experiencing today.
I am not so concerned with the public reality. Or, what we do with it. God has allowed it. Maybe even He has used it to purify His people. That I cannot know.
But, one thing I can know. We can choose to join with the hosts who have gone on before us, and demonstrate our faith in our true citizenship.
“These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland……. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one.” Hebrews 11:13-14,16
